MyGolfClubGuy started in late 2022, when, post covid our founder Dave Paling was tempted out onto the golf course by his brother John, who must be thanked for introducing Dave to a new addiction, the joys and frustrations of golf!

Being on a very limited budget Dave purchased his "new" set of clubs for £20, and people say golf is expensive, well, it did not take long until upgrading to a  newer driver was desired, then newer irons, putter and bag, the process began of upgrading his clubs and selling those being replaced, from here MyGolfClubGuy teed off as an at home business, buying and selling used golf clubs, learning how to re-grip clubs and how to replace broken/rusted shafts!

Ones of Dave's plans going forward was to keep the costs low for those being introduced to the golf addiction like he had been, then came an unexpected request.

"i am 6'7, normal clubs are too short for me and the longer ones i have seen online are all too expensive, can you help?".

This brought a situation that, not only had it never been considered by Dave to extend clubs, he also had no idea of how club extending is done, Dave did the wise thing, said yes i can help, i have no idea how to do it but i will learn how and get them done for you. Well, he did it!

Jump to 2025, MyGolfClubGuy is now a certified Golf Pride fitting centre with access to Golf Pride's UK distributors, with the main ethos still being to keep the prices low for those wanting to get involved in the game while having gained some experience of extending hundreds of clubs for our taller players.

 In addition, MyGolfClubGuy is aware there are many golfers wanting to upgrade there own clubs to newer, top brand items, while we may not be able to stock many of those items at the moment, when requested we will do our best to source any clubs for you, and where possible stock the better known brands while still keeping to the MyGolfClubGuy ethos.
